Veruca is kind of my hero. She demands gold and chocolate be given to her the moment she desires it. She knows what she's worth, and she doesn't back down. As someone who is too often a pushover, I basically love her.
These portraits from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory were originally painted for the Gummi Boutique candy shop in Edmonton, Alberta. You can see the originals on display there. We wanted to make them dark and sinister to juxtapose the whimsy of the candy shop.
Printed on beautiful heavyweight Matte Epson paper using archival pigment-based inks.
